Dominican Republic Mission Trip



Southern Heights Presbyterian Church is COLLABORATING on a Mission Trip with Grand Island First PRESBYTERIAN Church to send a group to the Dominican Republic early next year. If you would like to Assist with Travel Expenses for SHPC Members, please contact the church office.

    • Kirk Esslinger/Hyeyoung Lee with PCUSA had a recorded message to SHPC about their mission work

Additional funds and services the Mission Committee oversees:

  • Presbyterian Church USA: General Mission & Theological Education Fund

  • Serving and collecting items for the Gathering Place

  • Collect mittens, hats and scarves for those in need

  • Collect food for the food bank or pantry

  • Provide funds for a porta potty, water & garbage service for the Food Forest

  • Collect items for the Thanksgiving Food Baskets at PCM

  • Four Special Offerings: Christmas Joy Offering, One Great Hour of Sharing, Peacemaking and Pentecost

  • Funds the Deacon Family Emergency Fund

  • Funds toward Stitchers Ministry

  • Support Missionaries
