Children Welcome!

At Southern Heights Presbyterian Church, we believe that we are called together as God’s children to worship together as a family.

As such, we welcome children of all ages into the worship setting, to praise God with body, soul, and voice! In fact, we love hearing the voices of little ones throughout the whole of the service!

During the worship service, we provide a special time for younger children to hear a message crafted especially for them. During this time, preschool through elementary age children are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary. Parents and older siblings are welcome to come forward, as well, if it makes small children more comfortable.

In the back of the sanctuary, we provide a family room, complete with diaper changing station, rocking chair, a couch and some toys. This room is equipped with a window and speakers for continued interaction with the service for both parent and child. This space is perfect for calming an over-excited toddler, nursing an infant, or changing a diaper.

We also provide a fully staffed nursery with trained attendants. In our nursery, children under five have the opportunity to learn about God’s love through play, story, and interaction with each other in a safe and nurturing environment.
