Southern Heights Youth Programs

  • Sunday Youth Education: A weekly, educational ministry for pre-k through 5th grades designed to facilitate spiritual growth, Bible study, and discipleship in a small-group setting.

  • Middle School Youth Group: A safe, faith-focused community for middle schoolers (6th-8th grades) to explore Christianity, build supportive friendships, and grow in their spiritual lives through Bible study, worship, and service. Combines social activities with intentional discipleship to help young people connect their faith to everyday life.

  • Confirmation: A study of core tenants of faith, a bridge between childhood faith and adult ownership of faith, aiming to build lifelong disciples and foster a deeper, more mature connection to the church community. Allows youth to address questions around belief, doubt, and how to live as a Christian in the world.

  • High School Youth Group: A safe, welcoming community where students can build friendships, explore their faith, and ask tough questions about life ands spirituality. A balance of fun social activities with meaningful discussion, mentoring, and service projects aimed at helping teens develop a personal faith that last beyond high school.

Southern Heights Youth Programs (SHYP) provides youth from Pre-K to High School a chance to connect with their church and community, build friendships with peers and adult mentors, have a safe space to share, and enhance their skills, leadership, and creativity as they strengthen their faith and grow as young people.
