At Southern Heights, however, we believe that the coffee that we serve should be more than just coffee, but just, good coffee.

What does that mean?

We believe in serving and sharing good coffee:
The coffee that we brew and serve comes to us from Canyon Coffee Company right here in Lincoln, Nebraska.
It is locally roasted, freshly ground, and delivered straight to Southern Heights on a regular basis. We only order small batches to ensure that the coffee we serve is the freshest, best coffee that you can get!

But more than good, the coffee that we serve is just. 
We choose to purchase our coffee through a local company to not only support our local economy, but to build stronger ties with our neighbors, drawing us together as a community. 
More than that, we choose Canyon Coffee Company as our supplier because they follow the "Relationship Coffee" model of business, where the roaster, through their suppliers, develops relationships with coffee growers in different regions around the world. These relationships are about more than just purchasing the beans for roasting, but about providing for justice in trade and in living, serving to directly support the lives of the growers and their families.
Through the building of relationships, both here in Lincoln and around the world, the coffee that we drink goes to support local economies and enrich lives.
