Presbyterians recognize two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper ( Holy Communion ).

Baptism is a sign of God’s love and cleansing mercy, and our inclusion into God’s family. This sacrament unites us with Jesus Christ and makes us members of God’s family, the Church.
For Presbyterians, Baptism:
♦ Is an initiation into the church community, as ordered by Christ.
♦ Bestows the promise of God’s grace on us.
♦ Assures us that God forgives our sins.
♦ Calls us into a life of Christian service and fulfillment.

The Lord’s Supper – also called Holy Communion or The Eucharist – is the sacrament based on Jesus’ words and actions at his last meal with the Apostles. It is a time to renew faith and strengthen participants for the duties and privileges of Christian service. is served on the first Sunday of each month as well as at other special services of worship. Regular serving of bread and wine, after Christ’s example, reminds of his sacrifice for us, celebrates his joyful feast, and gives us spiritual strength to be the Lord’s body in service to others.
