At Southern Heights we believe prayer should be a major component in each of our personal faith journeys. While prayer in its simplest form can take on many formats, messages, or contexts, one amazing way prayer can take form is in a communal directed format such as a Prayer Chain.

At SHPC a number of our members have been called through their faith to particiapte in our Prayer Chain. These indviduals give their time and prayer in a directed form to support others going through difficult or challenging parts of their lives. Many times, for example, prayer requests in the Prayer chain might be for someone going through medical issues, or could be grieving from the loss of someone close to them.

A request to have someone added to the Prayer Chain typically is received by our main office or our Pastor. Once the request has been received an email is sent out to the current members of the Prayer Chain to add the request into their prayers.

Along with our newly formed Prayer Shawl Ministry, to many of us at SHPC our Prayer Chain is one of the most fullfilling ways we can give back to our church family.

Please remember that you do not have to be a member of Southern Heights to submit a request for our Prayer Chain.
