We believe that all church members are called to the ministry of witness and service.  Some are elected from within the congregation as elders, who form the session and govern the church’s life.  We also elect other members as deacons, to serve the needy and care for church members.  Trustees are elected to care for the church’s property.  The nominating committee has the responsibility to discern which members of the congregation God is calling to fulfill these particular ministries.  Both men and women may be elected to all of these offices.

The Nominating Committee’s role is to invite persons to discern God’s call to use their gifts as transformational leaders for the congregation.  In 2011 this will include:

(1)   Filling all vacant positions on the session, deacons & trustees.

(2)   Witnessing to God’s love to the world.
